The Founder’s Run by Cartrack takes to the road 40 cars and pre-war motorcycles
The Founder’s Run by Cartrack takes this weekend to the road 40 cars and motorcycles. In addition to the strong Portuguese presence, the list of subscribers has Spanish and English participants.
The ride, intended exclusively for pre-war cars and motorcycles (produced until 1939) that celebrates the golden age of motorsport and, simultaneously, the 120 years of the first automobile race of the Iberian Peninsula, has the participation of specimens of various brands, such as Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Abadal, Alvis, Riley, MG, Ford, Peugeot, Fiat, Norton or BSA. Highlights include the participation of the Darracq 12HP Open Tourer, a French-made car with 120 years and the Felcom, a Portuguese car produced in the early 1930s.
On Friday, cars and motorcycles will parade through the city of Figueira da Foz and will conduct a skill test. The route begins on Saturday, with a chicane and immediate departure towards Leiria on Wheels, followed by a passage through Alcobaça and ending in Torres Vedras. On Sunday, cars and motorcycles head south to the gardens of the Casino Estoril, where they will be on display to the delight of the public.
The organization invites all owners of classic cars and motorcycles, regardless of their year of manufacture, to join, on October 16, at 12:30 pm, upon the arrival of the participants of the Founder’s Run by Cartrack at the Estoril Casino Gardens.
